Wood AfroPick - Mudcloth
Storytelling is an integral part of our culture. Whether through song and dance, or art and language, finding ways to pass along the knowledge of the generations before us have always kept our culture alive.
This design nods to the array of patterns found in Bògòlanfini, a traditional Malian textile dating back centuries where fermented mud is used to dye cloth. The geometric symbols of Bògòlanfini were commonly used to communicate tribal narratives, passing culture down from generation to generation.
